We had an idea. With Icon Strike, it’s really easy to get any icon design on your iPhone’s home screen, so why not do something crazy like split a photo of Steve Jobs into a mosaic of app icons!
Try making your own mosaic with Icon Strike. We’ve even got a template you can use with Sketch. Download it here.
Flinto is a tool for prototyping iOS app designs. By adding screen images, and linking them together in Flinto’s editor, you’ll be able to create an interactive prototype that can be shared and installed on-device.
Flinto doesn’t provide a way to design the screens of your app. Many people ask me why Flinto doesn’t offer design tools such as pre-made buttons. The reason is that I don’t want to reinvent the existing tools that already work well. Whether it’s Sketch, Photoshop, or pencil and paper, I’m satisfied with the choices.
Flinto adds a new dimension to the static screens you already create in other applications.
If the process for creating a prototype is slow and cumbersome, it’s not worth doing. That’s why we focused so much on building a speedy editor. The Flinto editor makes linking screens together very intuitive. All your screens are visible at once. You draw a link and choose a target. It takes just a couple of clicks.
Even if you can make your prototype quickly, it’s still not very useful if it requires a complicated install process or a native app. Good luck getting your clients to download and install an app from the app store, or enter in secret codes just to see your prototype. Flinto prototypes are easy to share. Recipients get a unique URL, which they use to install the prototype as easily as adding a bookmark.
Flinto was built for real-world use. It was initially built to solve an issue I had personally, and I’m thrilled to make it available to everyone.
Today we are beginning to invite customers to join Flinto. We’ll keep inviting more people every day, and then open the site up to everyone. We’re excited to start serving our first customers!
